Each class have 2 Physical Education lessons on a weekly basis, except for the Nursery class which have 1 lesson a week. Here in Valley school we feel that educating pupils from an early age about the importance of fitness and keeping healthy is very important.
Sessions change each half term and can include some of the following activities;
- Swimming
- Dance
- Gymnastics
- Ball skills
- Football
- Athletics
- Rugby
- Orienteering
- Net ball
- Yoga
- Cricket
From time to time we have sports people who offer their expertise. We offer various PE clubs for a period of time during the year. There are opportunities for the pupils to play as part of a team
against other schools and some activities take part away from the school grounds.
A fitness day/week is held annually where activities and workshops on fitness and keeping healthy are offered from experts, which give the children a taster of different sports which aren’t offered in
school, such as boxing and weightlifting among others. The school teams have received great success in county competitions.
